A Bracelet and A Necklace

That’s what I made this weekend, and I feel very good about that. I had not created anything in a looooong time (Did I say long time?) and was feeling quite … not-so-good about anything! So, I decided to tackle some instant gratification: a simple chain necklace with an antique Tibetan pendant. And something more complicated: a very gemmy bracelet featuring smooth prasiolite nuggets, London blue topaz, Oregon sunstone (see previous post about my new love!), moonstone, dark citrine and phrenite.

Oooh, pretty! I don't want to show you a picture of what I made this weekend - a seriously squished index finger, and on my dominant hand. It's not a pretty sight, let me tell you. I will much rather take another look at that bracelet...

Oh, you poor thing! Don't you know that we are totally against squished fingers!!! Or pricked fingers, for that matter. Darn silver wire!!!

Yeah, I am too totally against squished fingers, but try telling my clumsy hand and stuuupid car that!

Ah, so it wasn't even a wire wrapping/hammering incident?! Well, I'm even more against non-beading injuries! They are forbidden!!

No, I could have lived with a jewellery related injury, but this was just plain stupid.
