I have had a song severely stuck in my head for the last two days. Does that ever happen to you? They say you need to listen to the whole song—and sing it too?—to sort of get rid of it, but in my case that only makes it worse. It’s not a bad song—and thank God, it’s not a corny song—it’s just getting a little ridiculous. I have watched and/or listened to the video on YouTube probably ten times now. It’s a haunting song and the video is a work of art, in my opinion. Funny thing is, it’s not the kind of music I generally listen to anymore. In fact, even back when I still listened to mainstream music, I didn’t listen to this band. I only recently researched their sound after reading an autobiography by one of the former members*, and most of it is way too heavy and dark for me, but this one song …
I think the lyrics are ingenious. The melody is haunting to say the least. And the bass is just very pronounced in a way I don’t usually hear in a song. I don’t know, maybe you need to judge for yourself, but I’m pretty sure most of you will be surprised at the sound or the group, especially coming from me. I don’t know how to post the video in my blog, so watch it here.
*The book is “Save Me from Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Story” by Brian Welch.

Katja, if I didn't love you before, I sure as heck love you now for putting Korn lyrics on your blog. I know it's not your usual taste in music, but it's an awesome song (and I'm a long-time Korn fan).
P.S. Now that song is in my head, too!! Dangit.
Cracking up! I finally got it out of my head ... so, that's where it went! No, I'm definitely not a Korn fan, but this song ... well, you know!
HUGS!
I saw this book awhile back and almost took it home. How wass it? Yes the vidio is very well done and the lyrics are haunting.
Joanne, the book is amazing. I'm always fascinated by stories like that. First of all, how someone can get so addicted to something (I'm blessed not to have those tendencies) and also, the healing power of Jesus. It's hard to explain to people who don't believe.
Ok now I am just waiting for my Borders cupon to run out and get it. Have you ever read the Prison Angel?
No, never heard of it. Sounds intriguing.
You might enjoy it. It is one (if not the) most amazing story, about the most amazing person, I ever read.
I will look for it on Amazon. Thanks for the lead, I'm always looking for interesting and meaningful stories to read.
I don't like korn but this song is good. This song's name is quite similar to one of my favourite songs from Duran Duran's "come undone", here is the link:
